Project Activities

The project is divided into six work packages:

Work Package 1 (WP1): WP1 proceeds to the analysis of the specific training needs of physiotherapist in order to focus the course on the most important needs of their professional development. A questionnaire will be prepared and applied to physiotherapists in partners’ countries.  the most commonly used parameters (type, frequency, duration, etc.) of current will be determined by this questionnaire. All partners will take responsibility to work with their National Physiotherapist Associations.

Work Package 2 (WP2):Integrating the content with regarding the results of WP1, adapting and arranging the content in accordance with the learning model will be provided by partners. In the project 5 open access modules will be prepared.
 
Module 1: healthy and denervated muscles physiology  
Module 2: currents used for electrical stimulation approaches  
Module 3: electrical stimulation for healthy muscles  
Module 4: electrical stimulation for de-innervated muscles
Module 5: electrical stimulation for re-innervated muscles.

Upon completion of the task of adapting the material, it will be translated to the language course provided.

Work Package 3 (WP3): The implementation of the virtual course, which will be in different languages, constructs the WP3.

Work Package 4 (WP4): In WP4, a pilot study will be conducted by contribution of potential end-users. It is aimed to identify possible gaps of the course/guide book and possible glitches in order to improve aspects ,which will be identified by PTs, through this pilot study . All partners will carry out an assessment of the adequacy of the final contents for the online course with the real needs of professionals in PTR. As a final point of WP4, from the results of the validation, the improvements will be performed in the structure of the course, contents, guidebook, and telematic application.

Work Package 5 (WP5): All tasks related to the valuation of the project are included in the WP5. All project partners will actively be involved in this phase.

Work Package 6 (WP6):  WP 6 includes tasks for the project management, providing continuous monitoring and evaluation of all the activities.
