From December 13 to 18, Dovydas Gedrimas, a lecturer from the Department of Rehabilitation at the Faculty of Health Care of Šiauliai State University of Applied Sciences, visited the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal.
Dovydas Gedrimas participated in an exchange program called "Erasmus+," to conduct lectures for logotherapy students, introducing them to the possibilities of applying electrical stimulation, as well as sharing good experiences in practical work.
During the visit, Dovydas Gedrimas met with lecturers from the Logotherapy and Physiotherapy study programs at the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal. For third and fourth-year students, the lecturer from Šiauliai State University of Applied Sciences delivered lectures on the general principles of applying electrical stimulation, and its use for patients with speech and swallowing disorders. Additionally, he presented the ongoing “Clinical Key for Electrical Stimulation in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation” (CK4Stim), project, introducing a guidebook, ppt, and video materials. In this way, disseminating information about the application of electrical stimulation in clinical rehabilitation. Colleagues from Portugal will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the information posted on the official CK4Stimm page and presented in English.
